Story : The Most Embarrassing Moments Ever!

Let’s face it – we’ve all had our share of embarrassing moments. Just be thankful that none of them were as humiliating (and hilarious!) as these:

"A mother was taking a shower when her2 year old son came into the bathroom and wrapped himself in toilet paper. Although he made a mess, he looked adorable, so she ran for my camera and took a few shots.
They came out so well that she had copies made and included one with each of their Christmas cards. Days later, a relative called about the picture, laughing hysterically, and suggesting that she take a closer look. Puzzled, the mother stared at the photo and was shocked to discover that in addition to her son, she had captured her reflection in the mirror wearing nothing but a camera!"

"A woman and her sister were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of nuts. As they were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if they needed any help. The woman replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." The sister started to laugh hysterically, the boy grinned, and she turned beet red and walked away."

"A lady picked up several items at a discount store. When she finally got up to the checker, she learned that one of her items had no price tag. Imagine her embarrassment when the checker got on the intercom and boomed out for the entire store to hear, ‘PRICE CHECK ON LANE THIRTEEN, TAMPAX, SUPER SIZE."

That was bad enough, but somebody at the rear of the store apparently misunderstood the word 'Tampax' for ‘THUMBTACKS.’ In a businesslike tone, a voice boomed back over the intercom: ‘DO YOU WANT THE KIND YOU PUSH IN WITH YOUR THUMB OR THE KIND YOU POUND IN WITH A HAMMER?’

An introvert went to bar and spots a pretty looking woman sitting on the stool. He mustered all his courage for long time, then timidly approached and asked her, "Ma’ am, would be OK if sit here and talk with you?" She was alert, suspecting this man, and responds by yelling, "No, I won't sleep with you tonight!" Customers in the bar started staring at them.

The embarrassed guy quickly returns to his table dejected and ashamed. The young woman waits a little and then goes to the guy to apologize. With a smile on her face she says, "I am sorry if I embarrassed you. You see, I am a college student in psychiatry and I am putting together a thesis as to how people react to embarrassing moments." The cunning guy now yells loudly, "What do you mean by $500?"

How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility

How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility
Sometimes it happens that we need to sharpen photos for which there is noise, for example, pictures taken at night. But overall increase in photo sharpness increases and the noise visibility also. How to be in this situation? I can show you one method in Photoshop, how to avoid it.

First of all you should find some appropriate photo to work with. I prefer to use this one. Open up this photo and start the tutorial. Go to Channel panel (Window > Channels). The first step is to look at the channels palette and determine which color channel best represents the area we want to capture. To the right, shown from top to bottom, you can see the red, blue, and green channels for this image. It’s obvious that the red channel contains the most information because it is most light. Click on the red channel and drag it down to the new channel button to create copy of it.
How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility 01
We got the copy as you can se on the above picture. Then apply for copied channel Filter > Stylize > Glowing Edges with similar settings to these:
How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility 02
Now we have effect like this:
How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility 03
Hold the Ctrl button and click the Red copy thumbnail in the channels palette to load selection of this channel.
How to Sharpen Photo without Increasing Noise Visibility 04
After that we can delete this channel: click on the Red copy channel and drag it down to the delete current channel button to delete it. Then go to layers palette (Window > Layers) and press Ctrl+H to hide selection temporary, but don’t remove selection for now! It is important! Then apply Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask with some suitable presets for the photo. Pay your attention that for each photo presets should be individual. I tried following presets:

See the result now:

Now, we have some selected area, but it is hidden for now, press Ctrl+H again to make it visible. Then press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected area to new layer. Then apply Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen Edges:

That is it for now. We sharpened photo without increasing the noise visibility. Hope, you got some interesting knowledge from this tutorial.

Changing Time of the Day on a Photo

Do you want to know how to use Photoshop to change the time of the day on a photo and transform it from a sunny day to sunset? Then this tutorial will be interesting for you.

In the beginning you should find some appropriate picture which u will use for transforming. Can try Google Images for finding the picture or feel free to use mine. Open up the picture. In the beginning I would like to increase the contrast of the photography. Duplicate layer with Ctrl+J and apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with next presets:
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 01
Mess with the layer mode & opacity/fill. I tried Soft Light with opacity of 50%. So, the result should be next:
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 02

Merge two of these layers together and use the Sharpen Tool (Brush: 1000 px, Mode: Normal, Strenght: 30%) to add more sharpness to the photography.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 03

Ok, now start with changing background. The first thing that needs to be changed is the sky. Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to separate sky area from other parts.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 04

Good, we already made selection, but as you can see we have some small unselected part between building elements. What we have to do in this case? Hold the Shift button and when u will see plus sign near cursor you can add extra selection of this small part.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 05
Ok, now duplicate selected area to the new layer with Ctrl+J and apply Gradient Overlay layer style to this layer.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 06
Can you see the difference now?

Then time to change water and ground color. Go back to background layer and use the Polygonal Lasso Tool again to select water and ground area.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 08
Hold the Shift button again to make extra selection of small part of water on the left side.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 09
Press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected part of image to the new layer. Then apply Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation with following parameters.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 10
The result should be next:
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 11
Now, you have to slightly darken the background to remove the appearance of the defect pictures. Use the Burn Tool (Brush: 150px, Mode: Midtones, Exposure: 20%) to darken the rear part of background.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 12
And the last one thing that we have to change is hue of the building. I would like to cut building shape to the new layer. I know one easy way how we can do this. Merge all the layers in one excepting background layer, then load new received layer selection with Select > Load Selection, after that invert selection with Select > Inverse, then go to the background layer and press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected area to the new layer. Ok, now apply Gradient Overlay layer style for new copied layer.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 13
You can see the result on the picture below.
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 14
Looks good, but not finished yet. Apply Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast with next presets:
Changing Time of the Day on a Photo 15
See the difference now:

We are done on this step! Looks good isn’t it?

Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Add Your Face to Movie Poster

You can find a lot of tutorials how to paste another face to the picture. Here I’m planning to show you my own way how to do this step by step and explain how to process every small detail in this design. You will look as a real real star!

Let’s start by finding the poster where you wanna be main actress or actor. For example, I will use Twilight movie poster (download here) or also feel free to use another posters from another movies what you like. Ok, then I need to put our picture on it. As for me, I just decided to use a picture of serious young lady (download here). Open up your photo and use Polygonal Lasso Tool to select face on the picture.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Press Ctrl+C to copy selected area, then open up canvas with movie poster and paste (Press Ctrl+D) there copied part of image from you picture. If you need to rotate your face to find suitable position and size for it, just use Ctrl+T for free transform.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

After that we can move to next step. For now use the Eraser Tool and a soft round brush about 50 px to remove hard edges from face fragment layer.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

As we can see, skin color of face fragment is bit different from original color face on the movie poster. How we can resolve this problem? Very easy! Just apply Image > Adjustments > Color Balance with similar presets to these:
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Now the result looks better as before. We got much correct saturation for face skin.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Ok, now use Dodge Tool (Brush: 30px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) to make some parts of face a little bit lighter.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

See the difference now:
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

After that we have to make some burn work with the opposite side of the face. Select the Burn Tool (Brush: 25px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 40%) and process eyes area with it.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Move to the next step. Now we need to add global shadow to the left part of face. Create new layer, after that use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create selection and fill it with color of #1d0d08 on the new layer.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and Apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to blur current layer content about 3,8 pixels and change layer mode to Multiply.
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

Now will be the hardest part of doing this tutorial. We need to clear shadow layer with Eraser Tool and soft round brush with different sizes to get realistic view of shadow presence. I think, for the beginners in Photoshop it will be a little bit harder to get realistic result, but you have to try anyway. I got something like this:
Add Your Face to Movie Poster

We are finished with our tutorial! Now you’re looking like a great actress on that movie poster!

Step 2

To create a sense of dense fog on the distance and dispersion on the foreground, we will make a few layers of fog, but with different gradations of saturation. Create a new layer (press Shift+Ctrl+N) and fill it with white color by using Paint Bucket Tool, then set up opacity to 95% for current layer. After that we need to create mask for current layer. Use Select > Load Selection to select layer content, then use Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All to create mask for all layer. Now remove selection with Ctrl+D and move to the next step. Select the Gradient Tool and fill our layer with linear black-and-white gradient as you can see on the picture below:
